Responsible Gambling

Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money. This page lists the practical tools and independent organisations that help people stay in control, or stop if gambling has stopped being fun.

Warning signs

Gambling may be a problem if you: bet more than you can afford to lose; chase losses; hide your betting from family; borrow money to gamble; or feel anxious, irritable or low when you cannot play.

Set limits before you play

Every regulated operator must offer deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders and time-outs. Set them before your first bet, not after a bad session. A time-out pauses your account for a fixed period and at most operators cannot be reversed early.

Self-exclusion

If a break is not enough, ask the operator to self-exclude. National schemes let one request cover many licensed sites at once, so you do not have to contact each brand separately.

Independent support

  • BeGambleAware.org — free, confidential advice and a 24/7 helpline in the UK.
  • GamCare — counselling and live chat for anyone affected by gambling.
  • Gambling Therapy — multilingual online support worldwide.

Under 18s

This site is for adults of legal gambling age only. If you are under 18, leave now. If you are a parent, use device-level filters and talk to your child about how gambling advertising works.

How we help

We do not accept advertising from unlicensed operators and we mark every commercial link as an affiliate link. If an offer changes or a bonus turns out to be misleading, tell us and we will review it.
